4/19/2008. We'll probably be flying out the 16 (or maybe the 15). We need to buy plane tickets as soon as possible.
DRIVER TRY OUTS are going to be Monday and Tuesday of next week. If you can't make either of these days, but want to try out, please let me know ASAP. You can come in at any time to practice (well, within reason). This is for the driver only.
Operator/robocoach/whatever will be decided later. I would like the
tryout to be with the 2008 chassis, but if it is not finished by that
date, we'll probably use the 2007 chassis. Watch this space for more
updates. :)
Today
1) Worked on spacers for transmissions
2) Took
off the claw on the 2007 robot so that we could continue driving (this,
however, didn't actually happen because A) the programming for the
pneumatics is wonky, and B) the chain was not on the sprocket).
3) Drilled the electronics board
4) Had some driver practice

Driver Try-outs: Feb 3, 4
Putting together chassis: whenever parts come in ... hopefully finished by the end of this weekend.
Electronics: I'm tempted to finish taking apart our joystick so that we
can have a it-doesn't-matter-if-it's-right-or-left joystick. :)
