The Space Cookies have used their unique position as an-girl high school robotics team mentored by NASA and the Girl Scouts to go out at various events to educate young people as well as the general public regarding their experience with technology in general and robotics in particular. They usually take their robots to these events, which draw a crowds or young, old, and everyone in between. The following are just some of the events that the team has spoken at:

- San Jose Tech Museum Exhibit for ages 6-12
- Sally Ride Festival
- Girl Scouts’ Anniversary Celebration
- Annual conference of National Aerospace and Aeronautics Engineers

Mentoring
The team members have adopted a middle-school FIRST Lego League (FLL) team. They have mentored this rookie team through their first-ever FLL competition, and plan to help them set up a year-round after-school Lego robotics program.
